Chennai: Tamil film star Ajith Kumar’s father P Subramaniam passed away here on Friday due to ill health. He was 84. 

Subramaniam, a Malayali from Palakkad, is survived by his wife Mohini and sons Anup Kumar, Ajith Kumar and Anil Kumar. 

Several members of the film fraternity and Ajith’s fans have expressed condolences for the loss of the actor and his family.
