In the midst of the controversy surrounding actress Ahaana Krishna and the late director Manu James, Ahaana’s mother, Sindhu Krishnakumar, has come forward to support her daughter, expressing frustration over the ongoing accusations made by Nyna, the wife of the late director.
Sindhu took to social media, sharing her internal conflict about whether to stay silent or speak up. She revealed that, initially, she had secretly hoped to forgive Nyna and move on without airing their issues publicly. However, Sindhu felt she was left with no choice but to bring the matter to light as the accusations continued.
"I secretly hoped we could just forgive them and stay silent.. but they didn’t give a chance to do so and we had to finally bring the issue to light," Sindhu wrote on her social media story.
The controversy started when Nyna, in a recent interview, accused Ahaana of not promoting the film Nancy Rani on humanitarian grounds, suggesting unresolved issues between Ahaana and her late husband, director Manu James, from three years ago. Nyna questioned Ahaana’s absence during the promotion of the film, even as she took on the responsibility of the project after Manu's sudden passing.
Ahaana responded, detailing her experience with Manu on set. She revealed that the director often arrived drunk, with his friends, and would drink in the caravan, causing delays in the shoot. Ahaana shared that the crew had to wait for his party to finish before filming could begin and that she had even sent messages asking Manu to start the shoot. She clarified that her decision not to attend the film’s press conference was due to the unprofessional atmosphere created on set.
In addition, Ahaana denied the accusations made by Nyna regarding drug use, calling them completely false.
With Ahaana's response gaining attention, Sindhu Krishnakumar’s social media post has added further weight to the actress’s side of the story.
