Actress Saniya Iyappan has shared how travelling has become an essential part of her life, helping her navigate personal challenges and disappointments.

In a conversation with Grihalakshmi, Saniya revealed that solo travel has been her way of coping with the emotional setbacks she has faced over the years.

"I enjoy travelling. It has helped me overcome many disappointments. There have been times when I felt I hadn’t achieved the goals I dreamed of. To cope with such thoughts, I often turn to travel," Saniya said. "I find more peace in solo travel than in visiting a therapist. So far, I’ve travelled to 13 countries, and Australia is my favourite."

Saniya also opened up about the challenges she faces on social media. The actress revealed that she has been the target of online trolls and cyberbullying since her film debut.

"I’ve been a victim of social media since my first movie. When Queen was released, they mocked me with trolls, calling me 'Chinnu'. At the time, it really upset me. But now, things have gotten out of hand. In the comments on my photos, I’ve seen things like, 'Is your dress size shrinking because of fewer movie offers?' People are just venting their frustrations online. But now, I choose not to engage or respond to them," she said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Saniya will next be seen in 'L2: Empuraan', starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. She expressed her excitement about reprising her role as 'Jhanvi' from the first instalment of 'Lucifer', saying she was thrilled when offered the opportunity.
