Kochi: A case has been registered against director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan following a complaint by a prominent Malayalam actress, who accused him of insulting her through social media posts. The complaint was lodged at the Elamakkara Police Station on Monday.
The actress alleged that Sanal had been tagging her in social media posts and releasing audio conversations in her name. In his posts, he reportedly stated that her life was in danger. Adding to the controversy, a film directed by Sanal and featuring the actress was recently released for free on social media platforms.
This is not the first time Sanal has faced legal trouble regarding the same actress. He was arrested in May 2022 from Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram, based on similar accusations of harassment. The complaint at the time stated that Sanal was persistently making unsolicited love proposals and harassing the actress.
