In a heart-breaking and courageous moment captured on video, actor Hina Khan made a bold decision to chop her hair off following a recent cancer diagnosis. The emotional scene, shared on the actor’s Instagram account, showcased Khan's mother wailing and blessing her in Kashmiri.

"Not all of us have the same tools at our disposal to manage heartbreaking emotions," Hina expressed, addressing her decision to confront the challenges ahead with resilience. "For most of us, our hair is the crown we never take off. But what if you’re facing a battle so tough that you have to lose your hair—your pride, your crown?"

Driven by determination to overcome her illness, Hina opted to cut her hair off, recognizing that facing such difficult decisions was essential to her victory. "I choose to let go of my crown because I’ve realised my real crown is my courage, my strength, and the love I have for myself," she asserted.

Hina also  revealed her intention to use her own hair to create a wig for herself during this phase of her journey. "Hair will grow back, eyebrows will return, scars will fade, but the spirit must remain whole," she wrote.

Hina announced that she has been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer a few days back. She had assured her fans that she is strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease.

As Hina continues her battle against cancer, she intends to share her journey openly, aiming to inspire and support others facing similar challenges. "If my story can make even one day of this heartwarming yet excruciating experience better for someone, it’s worth it," she affirmed.

Hina is best known for her role as Akshara in one of the longest-running family drama 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai'. The 36-year-old actor has also participated in reality shows like 'Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8', 'Bigg Boss 11', and 'Bigg Boss 14'. She has been a part of shows like 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' in which she essayed the role of Komolika, and 'Naagin 5'.
