Palakkad: Actor Biju Kuttan, who was injured in a road accident in Palakkad, has spoken out about the incident.
Speaking about the incident on social media, he said only one of his fingers was hurt, while his friend Sudhi Madhav, who was with him, also remained safe.
"The accident occurred at Palakkad. Fortunately, neither I nor my friend Sudhi Madhav suffered any major injury. With everyone’s prayers and blessings, although the car was badly damaged, nothing serious happened to us. Only one finger was injured. I have returned home from the hospital, and the rest of three to four days will be enough," Biju Kuttan said.
The actor added that he received numerous calls and messages from well-wishers, and assured them that he has no other health issues.
Stressing road safety, he said, "I am someone who drives with road discipline, and I advise the same even when there is a driver with me. I am not someone who drives at high speed or overtakes unnecessarily. Even if I reach late, I don’t mind. In all these years, I have never had a single accident. I always drive with utmost caution."
He urged both youngsters and experienced drivers to be careful, especially during the monsoon.
"Overtaking doesn’t bring any big benefit. In rainy conditions, everyone should reduce speed and drive carefully, because sometimes the brakes may not respond in time. My accident happened in just a fraction of a second,” he said.
