Kochi: The Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court has granted bail to actor Bala under strict conditions. Bala was arrested on charges of defaming his ex-wife and daughter on social media.

The Ernakulam Judicial First Class Magistrate Court granted bail with strict conditions, including prohibitions on making any defamatory posts about his ex-wife and daughter on social media and refraining from discussing the case with the media.

Following his arrest, Bala responded, saying that he hadn’t made any comments about his ex-wife and daughter for the past three weeks and did not understand the reason for his arrest. He made this statement while being taken for a medical examination by the police. The actor was charged under the Juvenile Justice Act, which is a non-bailable offense.

Bala was arrested by the Kadavanthra police early Monday morning from his flat in Edappally, following a complaint filed by his former wife.
