Actor Bala shared that he is embracing a joyful life at his new residence in Vaikom. Speaking to reporters during a temple visit with his wife, Kokila, the actor reflected on his experiences since moving to the serene locale.
“It was only after coming here that I truly understood what it means to be Malayali and the essence of God,” Bala said.
“I am happy now. When I was in Kochi, I faced many problems. When Kokila came into my life, she had doubts and fears. But after moving to Vaikom, all of that disappeared. I won’t invite anyone to Vaikom; I feel like I’m living in a different world now.”
The actor also shared some personal regrets. “It’s not about calculations or anything specific. Despite loving everyone deeply, I became an outsider in a moment. But that’s not the case here. I love this world—it’s peaceful, with no city noise. Here, I’m building schools, helping patients, and supporting Kudumbashree members. Wherever we step, we must make it better.”
Bala added that he’s never sought validation from others. “I’ve never wronged anyone and have always done good for people. That’s why I left Kochi. Those who understand me will understand. On Sundays in Kochi, so many people came just to see me. Now, many call and ask, ‘Bala Chetta, who will take care of us now?’ I’ll continue helping those who come to me. I feel like I’m living in heaven,” he said.
