Just before turning 60, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan made a surprising revelation—he is in love again. While speculation had been rife about his romantic life, the actor stunned the media by introducing his new partner, Gauri Spratt, at an event in Mumbai.

A long-standing connection

Though Aamir and Gauri first met 25 years ago, they lost touch for a long period. They were reintroduced through Aamir’s cousin, which led them to reconnect and exchange numbers. They have now been together for 18 months. Speaking about their relationship, the actor joked, “Look, I did not let you people know.” He described their bond as serious and committed, saying, “Gauri and I met 25 years ago and now we are together. We are serious about each other and are also committed, we have been together for one and a half years.”

Background and profession

Gauri Spratt resides in Bengaluru and has a diverse heritage. Her father is Tamil-British, and her mother is Punjabi-Irish. She identifies as Indian and comes from a notable lineage—her grandfather was a freedom fighter.

She studied at Blue Mountain School before earning a Foundation Degree in Arts (FDA) in fashion, styling, and photography from the University of the Arts London. She is an entrepreneur and operates a hairdressing business, as stated on her LinkedIn profile. Additionally, she now works under Aamir Khan’s production banner.

Life with Aamir Khan

The couple currently live together, and Aamir introduced Gauri to his family, who welcomed their relationship. He also took her to meet his longtime friends, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, at a recent dinner at his Mumbai home.

Aamir shared that he had concerns about whether people were drawn to him because of his stardom, but he never felt that with Gauri. Reflecting on his past, he noted that he had a similar experience with his first wife, Reena Dutta, saying, “When I knew her, I was not a star.”

Gauri has a six-year-old son from a previous relationship. Aamir said he has met her family and that they are supportive of their relationship.
