Kochi: BJP leader AN Radhakrishnan and his family were overjoyed when they received the opportunity to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the marriage of their daughter. Radhakrishnan sent an email to the Prime Minister informing him about the wedding of his daughter, Abhirami Radhakrishnan.

Soon after, the leader received a call from the Prime Minister's office, indicating that Modi was keen to meet Radhakrishnan and his family in person during his visit to Kerala. The family was also advised to arrive at the Taj Malabar Hotel in Kochi.

On Tuesday, Radhakrishnan along with his wife Ambika Devi, daughter Abhirami and her fiance Vishnu Mohan, director of the Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Meppadiyan’, met the prime minister. 

The couple gave their wedding invitation card to Modi and sought his blessings. They will tie the knot on September 3. 

Meanwhile, Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Kerala, will flag-off the Vande Bharat Express and Kochi Water Metro in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday.
