Popular south playback singer SP Balasubramaniam criticised the rumours on the death of veteran singer S Janaki. On the other day, fake news on the veteran singer’ s death was widely circulated on social media and many people paid tributes to her.

SP Balasubramanyam took to social media and criticised the people who circulated the fake news. He posted a video condemning the cruel entertainment with S Janaki.

"I have received about 20 calls enquiring the condition of Janaki Amma from this morning. Somebody has posted fake news saying that she is no more. What nonsense is it?. I have talked to her, she is doing well," said SPB.

He also appealed the social media users to use the platform to spread positivity.
