Poet, lyricist Anil Panachooran passes away


It is learned that Anil collapsed and was hospitalised with breathing difficulties. Hospital authorities said that Anil was suffering from Coronavirus.

Thiruvananthapuram: Poet, lyricist Anil Panachooran passed away on Sunday night while undergoing treatment for COVID-19.

The 51-year-old died at a private hospital here around 8.10 pm following a cardiac arrest.

Anil gained recognition after his songs in Sreenivasan starrer ‘Arabikkatha’ became popular. Born P. U. Anilkumar, he was a lawyer.

He is survived by wife Maya and their children Maitreyi and Arun.
