American rock band Linkin Park made their long-awaited Mumbai debut at Lollapalooza India 2026, performing a two-hour set packed with classic hits and new material

Linkin Park performed for the first time in Mumbai on January 26 at Mahalaxmi Racecourse as part of Lollapalooza India 2026, drawing thousands of fans from across age groups. The crowd erupted as the band opened their set after chants of anticipation filled the venue.
The six-member lineup — Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong, Brad Delson, Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell and Colin Brittain — performed several of the band’s most recognisable tracks, including Somewhere I Belong, In the End, Numb, Crawling, What I’ve Done and The Emptiness Machine.
During the show, Shinoda thanked Indian fans for supporting the band over the years and for waiting patiently for their return to live performances. He was seen wearing a traditional Assamese gamusa while addressing the crowd.
Fans shared emotional reactions on social media following the concert, with many describing the performance as nostalgic and meaningful. Some attendees, however, expressed mixed feedback online, comparing the Mumbai show unfavourably with the band’s earlier Bengaluru performance.
Linkin Park had earlier performed in Bengaluru as part of their From Zero World Tour. The band had paused live performances after the death of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017 and returned to touring in 2024 with a new vocalist.
Day two of Lollapalooza India 2026 also featured performances by Kehlani, LANY, Sammy Virji, Calum Scott, Karsh Kale, OAFF and Savera Mehta.
