Arijit Singh has become the most followed musician on Spotify, surpassing American singer Taylor Swift. Singh now boasts 117.2 million followers, 21,000 more than Swift. However, in terms of monthly listeners, Swift remains in the lead with 117.18 million followers. British musician Ed Sheeran follows with 115.01 million followers, while Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish occupy the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

Singh initially surpassed Swift in August 2023, but Swift reclaimed the top spot shortly thereafter. Singh is the first Indian musician to achieve 100 million followers on Spotify. Another notable Indian artist on the platform is A.R. Rahman.
