Jagathy back to acting again, shoots for TV ad
Thiruvananthapuram: Mollywood’s veteran actor Jagathy Sreekumar started shooting for a television advertisement here on Sunday. The actor has been taking a break from the film industry after getting injured in a road accident.
On Sunday, he arrived at Thiruvananthapuram Govt. Women’s college for the shooting of Gokulam group’s advertisement.
Gokulam group chairman Gokulam Gopalan also acted along with him.
Cherishing friendship, Gokulam Gopalan interacted with Jagathy by sitting inside a vintage car. He continued to talk even after the director said cut to the scene. Jagathy was seen in all smiles enjoying the moment.
The advertisement shooting aimed to encourage Jagathy Sreekumar to make a comeback to acting. Though, he had no dialogues in the advertisement, his expressions communicated everything.
Jagathy’s life was the theme of the advertisement. The one-minute-long advertisement directed by Nidhin featured Jagathy’s reunion with his old friends at college. When his son Rajkumar acted as young Jagathy, Gokulam Gopalan appeared as his best friend.
Mathukutty, Jagathy’s close friend and classmate in Mar Ivanios College and favourite teacher Mercy also acted in the advertisement.
“ Like all Malayalees, I also want Jagathy’s comeback to the films. This television advertisement is a small initiative to meet this purpose,” said Gokulam Gopalan.
Jagathy was in full of energy during the one-day long shooting.
Earlier, Jagathy appeared in the television advertisement of Silver Storm water theme park with his family.
