Vidyut Jammwal has revealed that his ‘Street Fighter’ co-star Noah Centineo is keen to explore India beyond popular tourist destinations.

Actor Vidyut Jammwal has revealed that his ‘Street Fighter’ co-star Noah Centineo is keen to explore India beyond its popular tourist destinations. According to Jammwal, the American actor is interested in experiencing the country's varied landscapes and cultures first-hand rather than limiting his travels to well-known holiday spots.
In an interview with Variety India, Jammwal spoke about their conversations on India and described Centineo as someone genuinely interested in understanding the country. The actor also shared the kind of journey he would plan for his co-star if he visits India.
Vidyut Jammwal calls Noah Centineo a curious traveller
Jammwal said Centineo, the youngest member of the ‘Street Fighter’ cast, showed a sincere interest in India and wanted to learn more about the country beyond what is commonly presented to international visitors.
“He's really curious about India. When I say really curious, like sincerely curious. He's not somebody who I think would want to go to Jaisalmer, Jaipur or Goa only. He's searching. And he's a sincere searcher. So we spoke about India."
During their conversation, Jammwal encouraged Centineo to look beyond the familiar images of India often shared with tourists. He explained that the country's identity extends far beyond its popular destinations and includes a wide range of natural landscapes and experiences.
“And I told him that India is not what people show you. India is much more than that. You’ve got to go into the country to realise the mountains and the sea. It’s not only the way we Indians show India. There’s much more to the country,” he adds.
Jammwal plans an offbeat India trip for his co-star
Although Jammwal clarified that he had not formally invited Centineo to visit India, he made it clear that his co-star would be welcome. If the opportunity arises, the actor hopes to introduce him to lesser-explored regions and routes that offer a different perspective on the country.
Rather than focusing on modern cities and well-developed highways, Jammwal wants Centineo to experience India's varied terrain and the diversity of its people.
“He’s got to see it the way I would like to show India to him. And I think that’s exciting for them (people from the West). I would want to take them across the country,” he says.
Jammwal also outlined some of the destinations he would like to explore with Centineo, including Rishikesh and other parts of Uttarakhand, as well as northern and north-eastern India. He believes travelling along less conventional routes would help his co-star understand the country's many contrasts.
“I would take him by the harder roads, which are not these six-laners. You don't need to show them that India is developed. Yes, the country is developed, but the rough roads also exist. I would like to take him to Rishikesh and other parts of Uttarakhand. I would like to take him to the north and northeast of India. I would like for him to realise our diversity."
Jammwal and Centineo will share screen space in ‘Street Fighter’, a live-action adaptation of the popular video game franchise. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 16.
