Pradeep Ranganathan’s latest Tamil romantic comedy, 'Dude', is all set for its digital premiere after a successful theatrical run during Diwali 2025.

The film, which also stars Mamitha Baiju, became one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of the year, surpassing the ₹100 crore mark worldwide.

According to reports from 123Telugu and OTTplay, Netflix has acquired the digital rights to 'Dude'. The film is expected to begin streaming on November 14, 2025, in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

However, sources suggest that the Hindi dubbed version may arrive later, following an eight-week delay, similar to the OTT rollout pattern of Kantara Chapter 1.

While official confirmation from the makers is still awaited, social media buzz around 'Dude'’s OTT release has been growing rapidly, with fans eagerly anticipating its digital debut.

About the Film

'Dude' is written and directed by Keerthiswaran, marking his official directorial debut, and is produced by Mythri Movie Makers—their second Tamil production.

The film features Pradeep Ranganathan as 'Dude' Agan, a carefree young man caught in the chaos of modern relationships. Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead, alongside R Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Neha Shetty in key roles.

The story blends humour, heartbreak, and self-realisation, capturing the journey of a man navigating love, confusion, and emotional growth. Staying true to Ranganathan’s trademark storytelling, 'Dude' offers a mix of light-hearted comedy and relatable drama that resonated with young audiences.

Box Office and Satellite Rights

'Dude' opened to mixed reviews from critics but managed to build strong word-of-mouth among audiences.

The film’s opening day collection stood at ₹9.75 crore net (Tamil: ₹6.5 crore; Telugu: ₹3.25 crore) and went on to gross ₹22 crore worldwide on day one, becoming the biggest opener of Pradeep Ranganathan’s career.

Netflix is said to have acquired the streaming rights for ₹25 crore, while Zee Tamil and Zee Thirai have reportedly bagged the satellite rights.

With its OTT release just around the corner, 'Dude' is all set to reach an even wider audience and continue its successful run—this time, from the comfort of home screens.
