Kozhikode: Pranav Mohanlal’s latest psychological horror 'Dies Irae' is turning into a box office powerhouse. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film has crossed the Rs 20 crore mark within just four days of release, outperforming the opening numbers of Sadasivan’s earlier hit ‘Bramayugam’ starring Mammootty.

\According to early estimates, 'Dies Irae' added Rs 3.25 crore on Monday, bringing its total India net collection to Rs 20 crore. With these numbers, the film has already beaten Bramayugam’s four-day total of Rs 12.75 crore, setting a new benchmark for Malayalam horror thrillers.

Strong Occupancy and Steady Footfalls

As per reports from Sacnilk, 'Dies Irae' registered an overall 33.29% Malayalam occupancy on Monday, November 3, 2025. The evening and night shows saw the biggest turnouts — 36.10% and 47.65%, respectively — indicating strong word-of-mouth and sustained audience interest.

Rahul Sadasivan Strikes Again

After Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam, director Rahul Sadasivan has once again delivered a winner. 'Dies Irae' features Pranav Mohanlal in one of his most layered and restrained performances, alongside Arun Ajikumar, Jaya Kurup, Manohari Joy, and Gibin Gopinath.
