Ranbir Kapoor joined Harshdeep Kaur to sing ‘Kabira’ at Mumbai’s North Bombay Durga Puja pandal

Ranbir Kapoor brought a touch of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ nostalgia to a Durga Puja celebration in Mumbai when he joined singer Harshdeep Kaur for a live rendition of ‘Kabira’. The actor took the microphone to sing along and relive moments from the 2013 film.
The impromptu performance took place on Saturday evening at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal, where Ranbir joined the festivities organised by the Mukerji-Samarth family, which has hosted the celebrations for nearly eight decades.
Videos from the event show Ranbir sharing the stage with Harshdeep as she performed the popular track. The actor sang along and, at one point, turned his microphone towards the audience, inviting those gathered to join in. Harshdeep later encouraged the crowd to applaud Ranbir.
While he joined in for parts of the song, the actor let Harshdeep lead the more demanding sections. The moment quickly became a highlight of the evening.
Ranbir also took time to seek the blessings of Goddess Durga before greeting photographers and posing for pictures. He wore a red-and-gold kurta paired with white pyjamas for the occasion. The actor also met filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, who directed ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’.
On the work front, Ranbir is gearing up for ‘Ramayana: Part 1’, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. He will play Lord Rama in the mythological epic, with Sai Pallavi portraying Goddess Sita.
The film also features Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey and Rakul Preet Singh in key roles. ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ is scheduled to release in theatres on November 5.
