Gurfateh Pirzada is making headlines with his latest magazine cover, which has caught the attention of fans and celebrities on social media.
Shot for The Dirty Magazine, the photograph shows Gurfateh sitting on the floor of a dorm-style bedroom while two men sleep on bunk beds behind him. He looks straight into the camera, using his arms to cover himself. The image was photographed by Olgac Bozalp.

The magazine described Gurfateh's journey as one shaped by rejection, reinvention and long stretches of uncertainty. The timing of the shoot is particularly interesting, coming soon after the actor's latest release, ‘Lust Stories 3’, and at a point when his career appears to be moving into a busier phase.

The photograph has prompted plenty of playful reactions online. Actor Varun Sood jokingly asked about the styling, while musician Jonita Gandhi responded to his comment with “god”.

Fans also played along with the unusual styling, with one asking, “Outfit details please,” while another wrote, “Lusstyyyyyy.” Others reacted with comments such as “Outfit of the year for you, bro”.

The reactions come after a year in which Gurfateh has been seen in markedly different roles, including the period drama ‘The Revolutionaries’ and Kiran Rao's segment of ‘Lust Stories 3’.

From seven shelved projects to a fresh start

Behind the sudden buzz around Gurfateh is a career journey that has not exactly been straightforward.

Earlier this year, the actor opened up about the difficult period following his 2020 debut in Netflix's ‘Guilty’. He revealed that seven projects he was associated with were shelved over a three-year period. The cancellation of ‘Class Season 2’, in particular, affected him deeply.

Gurfateh recalled finding out about the cancellation towards the end of 2024 and said the setback left his confidence badly shaken. He eventually decided to put that period behind him and approach his career with a renewed mindset.

That phase was followed by a noticeably busier run. After ‘Call Me Bae’, he took on projects including ‘Dynasty’, ‘The Revolutionaries’ and ‘Lust Stories 3’. In a recent interview, he described the last two years as particularly positive for his career.

In ‘Lust Stories 3’, Gurfateh appears alongside newcomer Sana Thampi in Kiran Rao's segment.

The actor has spoken about working with an intimacy coordinator for the film and praised Rao's approach to the intimate portions of the story, saying the team focused on making the scenes aesthetically presented while respecting boundaries.

He also recently appeared as Bhaga in Nikkhil Advani's period series ‘The Revolutionaries’. For the role, Gurfateh underwent a major physical transformation, gaining around 20 kg through a demanding training and diet routine, according to his recent interviews.

His next projects include ‘Adhure Hum Adhure Tum’, a Netflix love triangle starring Imran Khan, as well as the second season of ‘Call Me Bae’.
