The Abhishek Pathak directorial will see Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor return, with the film set for an October 2, 2026 theatrical release

The makers of ‘Drishyam 3’ have finally revealed the film’s official title. Ajay Devgn’s next outing as Vijay Salgaonkar is called ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’.
The title was unveiled on Monday through a new poster featuring a close-up of Ajay Devgn’s eye. The poster carries the line, “MERA SACH, MERA SAHI, SIRF MERI, FAMILY HAI.” Ajay also shared the announcement on social media, confirming that the film will arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
Ajay is back as Vijay Salgaonkar, the family man whose elaborate efforts to protect his loved ones turned the Drishyam films into one of Hindi cinema’s most popular crime thriller franchises.
Sharing the new poster, Ajay wrote, “Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai.” He also tagged the cast and crew while announcing the October 2 release.
The release date has its own connection to the franchise. October 2 became central to the story of the first ‘Drishyam’ film, with Vijay repeatedly using the date as part of the carefully constructed alibi created to protect his family. The date has since become closely associated with the franchise and its many memes.
Along with Ajay Devgn, the film brings back several familiar faces from the earlier films.
Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Mrunal Jadhav and Rajat Kapoor are returning, while Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat have joined the cast. Abhishek Pathak, who directed ‘Drishyam 2’, is once again at the helm.
The film has been written by Abhishek Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh. It is presented by Star Studio18 and produced by Panorama Studios, with Alok Jain, Ajit Andhare, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak backing the project.
The first two films followed Vijay and his family after they became caught up in a shocking disappearance. Vijay's daughter became connected to a police officer's son, and the situation quickly spiralled into a case that threatened to destroy the family.
Vijay then went to extraordinary lengths to create an alibi and keep the truth from the authorities.
In ‘Drishyam 2’, the family was still living with the consequences of those events when fresh developments threatened to bring the buried secrets back into the open.
The makers have kept the story of the third film firmly under wraps, so there is no official plot detail revealing what awaits the Salgaonkars this time. However, the title The Conclusion and the earlier campaign line “Aakhri hissa baaki hai” have made it clear that this instalment is being positioned as the concluding chapter of the Hindi franchise.
Interestingly, director Abhishek Pathak has previously said that the Hindi film will not simply follow the Malayalam version scene for scene. He described the Hindi adaptation as having a different track, with more emphasis on the family thriller aspect.
The film is now in the post-production stage. Director Abhishek Pathak confirmed in June that filming had been completed, bringing an end to several months of production.
‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’ is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2, 2026
