Anurag Kashyap opens up about the one thing that once made him question his relationship with Shubhra Shetty.

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap opened up about his relationship with Shubhra Shetty, revealing that the couple has been together for 11 years. While their romance has remained away from the spotlight, Kashyap recently spoke candidly about their bond, their age difference and why he does not want to lose what they have found together.
Kashyap and Shubhra began dating in the mid-2010s, when she was working at Phantom Films. Their relationship first drew public attention after they were spotted together in 2015. However, the couple chose not to address the speculation and kept their personal lives private.
It was only in 2018 that Kashyap publicly acknowledged their relationship.

The couple's 20-year age difference has been a subject of public curiosity. During his recent conversation with Janice Sequeira, Kashyap admitted that the age gap had made him conscious of their relationship at one point.
“I became so conscious, I was trying so hard to push it away,” he said. Kashyap explained that he became increasingly aware of the difference as he grew older while Shubhra continued to look much the same.
“There was a point because her face doesn't show her age. She still looks the same. She doesn't look her age. So the thing is, the more I grew older and she kept looking the same, that's when I became slightly conscious,” he added.

Despite those insecurities, the filmmaker made it clear that his feelings for Shubhra remain unchanged.
“What is an old man’s insecurity?”
Speaking about his relationship and the possibility of marriage, Kashyap said he is happy with Shubhra and wants to continue being with her.
“I’m very happy to be with her. I want to be with her. So, whatever that takes. There’s a lot in life. What is an old man’s insecurity?” he said.
The filmmaker also spoke about wanting to stay healthy for the people he loves. For him, the future matters less than holding on to the relationship he has today.
“As long as we have found what we have found now, I’m happy with anything. I don’t want to lose this,” Kashyap said.
When Shubhra Shetty said she could “die now”
While Kashyap admitted to having his own concerns about their age difference, Shubhra's perspective on their relationship appeared far more uncomplicated.
During the early phase of their romance, Shubhra reportedly told Kashyap that she could happily die after experiencing love.
Over the years, the couple has continued to maintain a relatively private life despite occasional public appearances and social media speculation.

Do Anurag Kashyap and Shubhra Shetty want to get married?
Marriage appears to be a different question for the couple. Kashyap, who has been married twice before, said that not being married does not change how he feels about Shubhra.
Shubhra, meanwhile, has expressed that she does not believe in the institution of marriage.
For the couple, their relationship appears to matter more than a label. After 11 years together, Kashyap's latest comments suggest that what matters most to him is holding on to the connection they have built.
And perhaps that explains his simplest sentiment about their relationship: “I don’t want to lose this.”
