Bhavana’s upcoming film ‘Anomie’ will release in theatres on January 30, the makers announced on Saturday. The release was revealed through a short video that read “Reintroducing Bhavana”, marking her return after a brief break and her 90th film in a career spanning over two decades.

The film marks a major milestone in Bhavana’s career as her 90th film, capping a journey that spans over two decades across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada cinema.

The announcement video, widely shared on social media, subtly hinted at themes of renewal and resilience, positioning ‘Anomie’ as a symbolic comeback rather than just another release.

Actor Suriya shared the release video on social media and extended warm wishes to Bhavana. “All the best Bhavana for ‘Anomie’. Here’s wishing you a great innings with a lot of success and happiness,” he wrote, a message that quickly resonated with fans.

Joining him, actors Jyothika and Manju Warrier also shared the announcement and sent heartfelt wishes, welcoming Bhavana back to the spotlight. The wave of support from prominent colleagues was widely seen as a show of solidarity and admiration for the actor’s enduring journey in cinema.

Billed as a sci-fi thriller, ‘Anomie’ stars Rahman in a pivotal role alongside Bhavana. The film is directed by Riyas Marath, who makes his directorial debut after co-writing ‘Neeli’ and ‘Diwanji Moola Grand Prix’. The ensemble cast also includes Shebin Benson, Arjun Lal, Vishnu Agasthya, and Binu Pappu.

On the technical front, the film brings together an experienced crew, with Sujith Sarang handling cinematography, Kiran Das in charge of editing, and Harshavardhan Rameshwar—known for his work in ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Animal’—composing the music.

The project is backed by Bhavana Film Productions, Dr Roy CJ’s Confident Group, APK Cinema, and Blitzkrieg Films, with T-Series and Panorama Studios recently joining the production.
