Alappuzha: After about 7.5 years, the price of rubber touched Rs 170. It is learnt that the price may go up further in the coming days.

The rubber price had reached Rs 170 a kg in September 2013 before this. The price had touched Rs 240 in 2011 and then there was a trend of decreasing.

Though the price keep fluctuating every year, it had never reached Rs 170.
