Newly built bus stop overlooking Banasura Sagar Dam in Wayanad, Kerala goes viral for its stunning views. A must-see for nature lovers!

Padinjarathara: A newly built bus station overlooking the breathtaking expanse of the Banasura Sagar dam has become viral on social media. Even people are coming to see the bus station.
Located along the Padinjarathara–Manjoora road, the bus station offers a direct view of the rain-washed greenery and the vast waters of the dam. Constructed in a simple yet strategic manner, the bus station allows travellers to pause and soak in the beauty of Kerala’s largest earth dam.
The project was undertaken by the Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) near the 13th mile, in connection with the recent upgrade of the Vythiri–Padinjarathara road. With the high-quality roadwork, improved lighting facilities, and enhanced connectivity, access to Banasura Sagar has become far more convenient for visitors.
The route also connects to other popular attractions in Wayanad, including the Pookode Lake at Vythiri and the Karlad Lake at Thariyode. Even during the monsoon season, the Banasura Sagar hydel tourism centre remains a delightful stopover for nature lovers.
The scenic destination continues to attract travellers not only from Kerala but also from neighbouring states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, as well as from northern parts of India. For local resorts and the tourism sector in Wayanad, the ongoing monsoon season has brought fresh expectations of a surge in visitors.
