Munnar: An Italian couple who have been travelling the world in their customised van reached Munnar in Kerala. Andrea and his wife, Titiriga, reached the hill station on Monday after embarking on an extraordinary journey through several countries.
The couple set off from Italy eight months ago, beginning their road trip in their specially designed vehicle. They travelled through Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Serbia, before entering Pakistan and then India. After visiting several northern Indian states, they made their way to Tamil Nadu, finally arriving in Munnar.
Andrea is a surgeon at a private hospital in Italy, while his wife, Federica, works as a property manager. The couple, who have three children, plan to conclude their world trip on December 31, 2026.
Their van, which has been their home during this adventurous trip, is equipped with a kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, along with solar panels to provide electricity during their travels.
The couple took time to enjoy the cool climate and the breathtaking natural beauty of Munnar. Speaking about their visit, they described the experience as unforgettable and expressed a desire to return in the future. After spending some time exploring Munnar, they continued their journey in search of new sights, heading towards Parambikulam on Monday evening.
