On Saturday night, Alia turned the 15th edition of Manish Malhotra's Mijwan fashion show in Mumbai into a moment, walking alongside Vicky Kaushal as the evening's showstoppers.

She floated down the ramp in an ivory lace saree with scalloped edges and sequin work from head to toe, a matching dupatta draped over her head like she was daring anyone to look away.

Makeup stayed soft, subtle eyeshadow, mascara, contoured cheeks, nude lip with a statement neckpiece, kaan chain and haathphool.

And that was only half the story. Manish brought that dreamy Y2K Bollywood romance, dressed this time in a custom chikankari couture look styled by Rhea Kapoor, white and silver chikankari, dramatic scallops, pearls and diamonds doing exactly what pearls and diamonds are supposed to do.

Vicky matched her energy in a white kurta layered under a blue embroidered jacket, finished with white pants and jutis.

The night carried weight beyond the clothes, too. This edition marked fifteen years of Mijwan putting chikankari, Indian craftsmanship, and the women behind it at the centre of fashion, a journey that Manish Malhotra, Shabana Azmi and Namrata Goyal have anchored from the start.

Alia spoke to exactly that about women empowerment and what makes Mijwan so special for her is seeing it come to life through opportunity, independence, and the celebration of women's talent and craftsmanship.

She also got candid off the ramp, joking about how women very much run the show when it comes to the Bhatts and Kapoors family.

The star-studded crowd included Shabana Azmi, Madhuri Dixit, Shalini Passi, Boney Kapoor, Sonali Bendre and Khushi Kapoor.

Alia and Vicky are next set to share the screen and a poster with Ranbir Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Love & War’. The film has been through it, first eyeing a Christmas 2025 release, then pushed to March 20, 2026, and now finally locked for January 21, 2027. The recently dropped first-look posters of all three leads have already sent the internet into a frenzy.

But for one night in Mumbai, the runway belonged to Alia, twice over. Bravo. Blessed be.
