Irinjalakuda: KSRTC has decided to launch 16 budget tourism services for ‘Nalambalam’ pilgrimage in the Malayalam month of ‘Karkidakam’ this year. The services will be extended to Thriprayar Sree Rama Temple, Koodalmanikyam Bharatha Temple, Moozhikkulam Lakshmana Temple and Payyammal Shathrughna Temple, which comprise the four temples in the Nalambalam pilgrimage circuit.

Each bus from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Malappuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and two bus services from Thrissur and Irinjalakuda will be deployed for the Nalambalam pilgrimage. The Irinjalakuda depot will start the services at 6 am and 6.30 am while the services from other depots will be scheduled by considering the bookings for the pilgrimage.

The Devaswom boards of the temple have ensured that the KSRTC passengers will not have to stand in queues for darshan. For this, KSRTC will distribute separate tags to the pilgrims. The devotees can pre-book ‘prasadam’ also while booking for the pilgrimage service at the KSRTC depot.  

The bookings for Nalambalam pilgrimage will begin on Monday.
