GTA 6, originally expected in 2025, will now release on May 26, 2026, with Xbox users finally gaining access to wishlist

Following the activation of the game’s Xbox page on June 25, Xbox users can now add Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) to their wishlist ahead of its official release next year. The wishlist feature is currently available for Xbox Series X and Series S users.
Originally slated for a late 2025 release, Rockstar Games announced in May that GTA 6 will now launch on May 26, 2026. PlayStation 5 users received early access to wishlist the game shortly after the second trailer dropped in May 2025.
Fans have been buzzing with anticipation since the release of two official trailers earlier this year, and a third and final trailer is still awaited.
How to wishlist GTA 6 on Xbox
You can wishlist GTA 6 in just three simple steps:
- Open the Microsoft Store on your Xbox console.
- In the search bar, type ‘GTA 6’ or ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’, then select the game from the dropdown results.
- Click the heart icon to add it to your wishlist.
Rockstar Games has not released any new updates alongside the wishlisting feature. Purchasing options remain disabled, and pre-orders have not yet begun. However, users can reportedly download a pre-load placeholder file to reserve space on their console in anticipation of the release.
With fans waiting eagerly for more updates and the final trailer, GTA 6 continues to be one of the most anticipated game releases of the decade.
