Edappal: Reimbursement will be provided to state government employees and pensioners who seek treatment at hospitals which have not joined Medicep insurance scheme under the Kerala government. The beneficiaries can claim treatment expenses for accidents, heart attack and stroke.

Though this has been included in the hand book of MEDISEP, the lack of awareness deprives the government staff and pensioners from utilising the benefits.

Required documents

  • A doctor’s letter proving that the beneficiary is a member of the insurance scheme, the hospital has been included in the MEDISEP panel, and the necessary treatment has been provided on time.
  • Part- B Form has to be signed by the doctor
  • Reports of tests undertaken during the treatment
  • The copies of necessary documents, including original bills, discharge document, MEDISEP ID card, Aadhaar and bank account statement have to be sent to the agencies engaged by the Oriental Insurance company within 15 days of discharge.
  • The same copies have to be forwarded to info.medisep@kerala.gov.in
