As the rain taps against your window, there's no better way to cosy up than with a cup of hot tea and some tasty snacks. Try these crispy cauliflower bites for a delicious and crunchy treat. They're easy to make and perfect for brightening up a rainy afternoon.
Amritsari Gobi Pakoda
Ingredients:
- Cauliflower (Cut into florets)- 2 cups
- Finely chopped onions- 2
- Green chillies-4
- Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
- Ajwain-1/2 tsp
- Salt- To taste
- Gram flour / Besan - 1 cup
- Rice flour- 1/4 cup
- Oil- For deep frying
Preparation:
In a bowl add chopped cauliflower, finely chopped onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, ajwain and salt. Mix and keep it for 10-15 minutes
Add rice flour and besan to the cauliflower with a little water and make it into a smooth dough. The dough must not be soggy
Heat oil in a kadai or fry pan and deep fry the pakora.
Cauliflower Bajji
Ingredients;
- Cauliflower – 1 no
- Gram flour – 1 ½ cup
- Rice powder – ¼ cup
- Corn flour – 1 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp
- Soda powder – A pinch
- Salt – Accordingly
- Oil – to fry
Preparation:
Separate the cauliflower florets. Take some water in a bowl and add a pinch of salt. Put the florets in the water and boil for 5 minutes. Strain and remove the florets.
In a bowl, add all the other ingredients and mix well to form a thick batter.
Heat a pan and add oil.
Dip each floret in the batter and deep fry.
Serve with hot tea.
