
Potato halwa is a common sweet or dessert served in Uttar Pradesh during festival seasons and fasting. This variety sweet can fill your tummies and mind with contentment.
Ingredients
- Boiled potatoes- 3
- Ghee - 1 tbsp
- Sugar- ½ a cup
- Milk- ½ a cup
- Cashews chopped- ½ tbsp
- almonds chopped- ½ tbsp
- Cardamom powder- a pinch
- Raisins- ½ tbsp
Procedure
First, boil the potatoes well and peel off the skin. Then, mash it properly. Now, in a pan, add some ghee and heat it. Then add the mashed potatoes and roast for 1-2 minutes. Add milk, sugar and raisins to the potatoes and mix them well. Stir frequently. Cook for another 8-10 minutes. Add cardamom and stir. After cooking it properly, garnish with flaked and roasted almonds and cashews. Serve hot.
