Sharjah: With the 42nd Sharjah International Book festival (SIBF) just a few days away, preparations are in full swing. One among the prominent cultural events of the region, the festival witnesses the footfall of millions of visitors and prominent personalities from all over the world. The 11-day event touches all aspects including workshops, poetry reading, writing sessions and panel discussions.
The book fest also attracts publishers in large numbers thus making it a venue of various book deals being signed. This year’s festival will see more writers from India joining the party. Over the years, various Malayalam writers have been a part of SIBF.
Many Malayalam writers have shared their wish of attending SIBF at least once. Writers like K. Jayakumar, Kureepuzha Sreekumar, K.V Mohan Kumar, Sarah Joseph, CV Balakrishnan and others had shared their gratitude for being part of the literary fest.
The latest from the Malayalam literary world will be present at this year's event. K.V Mohan Kumar’s books like ‘Mahayogi’ and ‘Pranayathinte Moonnamkannu’, published by Mathrubhumi Books are in great demand this year as well.
