Thiruvananthapuram: Noted novelist C Radhakrishnan has been honoured with the award for literature instituted by Vaishnavam Trust in memory of popular poet Professor Vishnunarayanan Namboothiri. 

The award comprises a cash prize of Rs 1,11,111, a sculpture and a Certificate of Merit. It will be presented on June 2 at a ceremony in Thiruvananthapuram. 

The jury consisted of former chief secretary R Ramachandran Nair, Professor TP Sankarankutty Nair and trust president Prabha Varma.
