Starting from ‘Sapamoksham’ in 1974, Jayan reigned Mollywood for six years till ‘Kolilakkam’ in 1980. He acted in a total of 116 movies including a Tamil movie during this period. Finally, he sacrificed even his life for the cinema. He passed away in an accident during the shooting of 'Kolilakkam'.
