The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence has invited nominations for National Level Awards for the 2024 and 2025 to recognise and honour those who have exhibited exceptional contribution in the field of Defence and Technology.

Nominations have been invited for

(i) Dr Kothari Defence Science Award, 1 award each for 2024 and 2025 separately, carrying a citation and cash amount of Rs 10 Lakhs

(ii) Dr Kalam Defence Technology Award, 1 award each for 2024 and 2025 separately, carrying a citation and cash amount of Rs 10 Lakhs.

Individuals serving in Government or Public or Private Sectors may be nominated for their distinguished services contributed in the field of Basic Research in Defence Science or in the field of Development of Defence Technology.

The nomination in the prescribed nomination format for National Level awards will be accepted only through the Ministry/ Departments/ Organisation / Private Agencies (the consent of the nominee reflected through his signature in the Nomination Form and Personal Information Form is mandatory). The nominations directly from any individual will not be accepted.

The nominations may be submitted to Directorate of Personnel, DRDO HQ, DRDO Bhawan, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi-110011, by December 05, 2025.

A soft copy of the nomination form duly completed with all compulsory documents may be mailed to email ID, dte-pers.hqr@gov.in.

The nominations received in response to the advertisement dated Oct 18, 2024 of DRDO for the year 2024 stands cancelled.
