UPMSP has released the Class 12 practical exam schedule for 2026. Exams will be held in two phases from January 24 to February 9, with CCTV mandatory in exam halls.

UP: The Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh (UPMSP), has released the schedule for the Class 12 (Intermediate) practical examinations for 2026. According to the official notification, the practical exams will be conducted in two phases across districts in the state.
First phase
The first phase of the UP Board Class 12 practical examinations will be held from January 24 to February 1, 2026, covering districts including Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Devipatan and Basti. The Board has declared January 29 and 30 as holidays due to the UP TET and other major examinations, and secondary schools in these districts will remain closed on those days.
Second phase
The second phase of practical exams will take place from February 2 to February 9, 2026, in districts such as Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur.
For Class 10 (High School) students, practical examinations will continue to be assessed internally through project work at the school level. Principals have been instructed to verify student eligibility and ensure all students complete the assessment.
Marks for Class 10 practicals and Class 12 subjects, including Moral Education, Yoga, Sports and Physical Education, will be uploaded online by school principals. The portal for uploading marks will open on January 10, 2026, on the official website upmsp.edu.in.
Pre- board exams
Pre-board practical examinations for Class 12 will be conducted at the school level in the first week of January 2026, while pre-board written examinations for both Class 10 and Class 12 are scheduled from the third week of January to February 9, 2026, as decided by individual schools.
CCTV to be mandatory
To ensure transparency, the Board has made CCTV surveillance mandatory in practical examination halls. Schools will be required to upload video recordings of the exams to the Board’s website. For examiner appointments and other examination-related arrangements, schools have been advised to coordinate with their respective regional offices.
