Applications have been invited for admission to the PG-Diploma in Unmanned Aircraft Systems/Drone Technologies jointly conducted by C-DAC and NIELIT.
The course is being conducted as part of implementation of the ‘Capacity building for Human Resource Development in Unmanned Aircraft System (Drone and related Technology)’, an approved project under, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Government of India, to be implemented jointly by the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kurnool as PMU, and C-DAC and NIELIT as identified implementing agencies.
Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) at Pune, Hyderabad, Noida, Bengaluru, and Patna are C-DAC Participating Institutes (PI) in the Project. National Institute of Electronics & IT (NIELIT) at Aurangabad (MH), Bhubaneshwar, Calicut, Imphal, and Srinagar / Jammu are NIELIT Participating Institutes (PI) in the project.

The Course focuses on understanding UAS/Drone and its allied technologies including Various types of Unmanned Aircraft Systems and the DGCA guidelines for drone flying in India; Hands on the various sensors, IoT tools etc.; Principles for UAS/ Drone Design & Prototyping; Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems, Data Analytics, and Visualization for UAS/ Drone based application; Real time applications of UAS/ Drone related to surveying & mapping, infrastructure inspection, healthcare, agriculture etc.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a Graduate in Engineering or Technology (10+2+4 or 10+3+3 years) in any discipline of Engineering or MSc/MS (10+2+3+2 years) in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or MCA / MCM or Post Graduate Degree holder in Physics / Mathematics / Statistics or Post Graduate Degree holder in Management with graduation in IT / Computer Science / Computer Applications. Applicant must have secured 55% or above in the qualifying degree.

Selection: Admission will be based on rank obtained in UAS C-DAC’s Common Admission Test (C-CAT) to be held on July 15 - 16, 2023.
