Kozhikode: Xylem Director Lijeesh Kumar stated that the institute has decided to move the Supreme Court to address the discrepancies in the NEET examination results. They are seeking a stay on the results, demanding transparent evaluation processes, and the removal of grace marks.

Across the country, voices are being raised alleging rigging in the NEET examination. While in previous years only one or two students would get the full score of 720, this year 67 students got. This is quite unnatural.

The students who have scored full marks belong to a few coaching institutes in the country. There are allegations that the question paper was leaked through Telegram groups before the exam and a copy of the question paper was found abandoned on the roadside while the exams were going on.

Out of the 67 people who got the first rank, 47 secured the same through grace marks. NTA’s initial explanation is that the grace marks were awarded due to an error in the NCERT textbook. Another explanation is that it was awarded because students lost time as the examination started late in many centres.
