Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS, conducting the allotments to PG Medical Courses has opened the facility to Candidates who want to get their nationality converted from Indian to NRI for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2025-26 through a Notice dated 14.1.2026 available at https://mcc.nic.in/ 

All the candidates who are claiming to be NRI as per the directions/orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the case (W.P. (C) No.689/2017-Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Anr. Vs. Union of India & Ors.) dated 22.8.2017, a copy of which is attached to the Notice of MCC dated 14.1.2026, should send their relevant documents as mentioned in the Notice in support of their claim to change nationality from Indian to NRI through e-mail nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com between 10 am on 15.01.2026 and 10 am on 17.01.2026.

Mails received before/after the stipulated time will not be considered. Candidates must send all documents enclosed in a single mail only, within the stipulated time.

All such candidates should keep in touch with https://mcc.nic.in/ for further course of action.

The following conditions are required to be met by the candidates applying for a change of their category (Indian to NRI):

(i) NEET-PG Admit Card and Score Card

(ii) Proof of NRI Status of the parent/relative: Valid Passport NRI Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (Embassy / Indian Consulate) Visa / Residence Permit / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card / PIO card, if applicable

(iii) Certificate of Relationship between the NRI relative and the candidate issued by the competent Revenue Authority through Family Tree

(iv) Affidavit (Notarized) by the NRI relative stating that they will sponsor the entire course fee and living expenses of the candidate during the period of study duly supported by NRE (Non-Resident External) Bank Account Pass Book / Birth certificate

(v) Passport of candidate/sponsor (optional).

Candidates applying for conversion are required to furnish the documents in the format provided at Annexure I to the Notice dated 14.01.2026 of MCC.
