Thiruvananthapuram: In a proud moment, Kerala university became the first institution in the state to receive an A++ rank in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) reaccreditation. Kerala University received 3.67 points out of 4.
It is the first time a university in Kerala is receiving the highest rank in NAAC assessment. An institution that gets a score of 3.51 to 4 will be given an A++ grade.
With this ranking, the university is eligible to get projects worth up to Rs 800 crore from the University Grants Commission. Earlier, the university received a B++ ranking in 2003 and an A in 2015.
Last year, Kalady Sanskrit University had bagged an A+ grade.
