JoSAA has released the Round 1 seat allotment for JEE Main and Advanced 2025 aspirants. Candidates must complete online reporting, pay fees, and upload documents by June 18

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has declared the first round of allotment results for JEE Main/Advanced based on admissions for 2025-26 on josaa.nic.in.
Those who have received allotments must complete online reporting, payment of fees, uploading documents (the list of documents to be uploaded is available in the Business Rules on the JoSAA website), and providing explanations to any doubts that the officials conducting the inspection may have regarding the uploaded lines, etc., within the permissible time limit. It is the candidate's responsibility to regularly check the online portal and promptly address any queries. No separate notification will be provided to the candidates.
The deadline for these in the first round is June 18. There will be a facility to pay the fee till 5 pm on June 18.
Those who attempted to pay the fee within the deadline can resolve any issues related to the payment of the fee until 5 pm on June 19. The online doubt-clearing process must be completed by 5 pm on June 20.

- Click on the link for “View Seat Allotment Result – Round 1”.
- Log in using your JEE Main application number and password.
- The allotted institute, course, and category details will appear on the screen.
- Download and print the seat allotment letter for future reference.
Seat confirmation
Candidates must accept the allocated seat and choose one of the following options—‘Freeze’, ‘Slide’, or ‘Float’—for their academic program in any subsequent rounds of JoSAA seat allocation.
- Freeze: Here, the candidate accepts the offered seat and confirms satisfaction with the allocated academic program. The candidate will retain the same seat and cannot participate in any further rounds of JoSAA 2025. The seat will be provisionally confirmed, pending successful completion of all steps, and will not be reassigned in future rounds.
- Float: The candidate accepts the offered seat and is willing to be considered for admission to a higher-preference academic program at any institute in subsequent rounds. If no higher preference is offered, the candidate will continue with the accepted academic program. These candidates will be considered in future rounds.
- Slide: The candidate accepts the offered seat and is open to being allocated a higher-preference academic program within the same institute in later rounds of seat allocation and will be considered in subsequent rounds of JoSAA 2025.
Upload the documents
The candidate must upload all the required documents as per their preferred institution (IIT or NIT+ system) and other requirements like category, gender, etc.
Pay the seat acceptance fee
To continue with the JoSAA process and secure a seat in IITs or the NIT+ System, candidates must pay the seat acceptance fee. The documents uploaded by the candidate will not be verified until the seat acceptance fee is paid. It’s important to note that the admission fee, which varies across institutes and categories of candidates, is different from the seat acceptance fee. Candidates are required to pay the seat acceptance fee only in the round in which the seat is first allotted. Failing to pay the seat acceptance fee will be considered a rejection of the offered seat, and the candidate will no longer be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of seat allocation.
JoSAA 2025 Seat Acceptance Fee
