New Delhi: Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), part of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), has entered the world's Top 200 business schools in its first appearance in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2027.

JGBS has been placed in the 171–180 band globally for its MBA programme and has been ranked as the No. 1 private university business school in India, according to the university.

The QS Global MBA Rankings 2027 feature 19 India-based MBA providers, with five institutions making their debut this year. JGU is among the new entrants, with its MBA programme placed in the 171–180 global band.

The ranking also places JGU 23rd in Asia among 81 MBA programmes, while it ranks 16th in Asia for employability, the university said.

The QS rankings assess MBA programmes across five areas — employability, thought leadership, diversity, value for money and alumni outcomes.

JGBS said its entry into the global Top 200 comes in the 16th year of its institutional journey. In its first appearance, it has been placed ahead of several established Indian management institutions, including IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, IIM Lucknow and IIM Udaipur.

“This is a historic moment for JGU. For a business school that is only in the 16th year of its institutional journey, this is an extraordinary achievement,” said Prof. C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University.

Prof. Padmanabha Ramanujam, Dean, Academic Governance and Student Life, said the ranking was an affirmation of the academic standards and institutional systems developed by JGBS and JGU.

Prof. Mayank Dhaundiyal, Dean of JGBS, said the school had focused on combining academic and research work with industry engagement, experiential learning and international exposure.

JGBS also highlighted its AACSB accreditation, international collaborations, research activities, industry engagement and opportunities for global academic exchange as part of its institutional development.

The QS Global MBA Rankings are among the international rankings used to assess business schools and MBA programmes across factors including employability, academic influence, diversity, value for money and alumni outcomes.
