Thiruvananthapuram: The government released the notification for this year’s MBBS admission in self-finance medical colleges. The fee amount was decided to be Rs 6-7.65 lakh. The fee was fixed based on the decision by Fee Regulatory Committee headed by Justice Rajendra Babu. The fee structures of 19 colleges were declared.
The NRI fee comes up to about Rs 20 lakhs. Out of this, Rs 5 lakh must be set aside for BPL scholarships by various managements. The scholarship distribution will be based on the Supreme Court verdict.
The admission procedures as per the second allotment for MBBS and BDS courses were started by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE). The commissioner had instructed the ones who earned admission through the first allotment to pay the conditional fee as certain colleges didn't finalize the fee.
