The official admit card with the exact exam centre and timings will be out by February 4, 2026

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the Advance Intimation of Examination City for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination (NIFTEE 2026), providing early travel information to thousands of design aspirants nationwide.
The city intimation slip, released late last week, precedes the official admit card for the Stage 1 entrance test scheduled for February 8, 2026. Candidates can now access the portal to identify their assigned test city across the 102 centres designated for this year’s examination.
Advance Travel Coordination
Officials emphasised that the city slip is intended solely to facilitate travel and accommodation planning. It does not serve as an entry pass to the examination hall.
- Accessing the Slip: Candidates must log in to exams.nta.nic.in/niftee or nift.ac.in using their application number and date of birth.
- Information Included: The document confirms the candidate’s name, application ID, and the specific city where they will sit for the exam.
- Final Admit Card: The definitive hall ticket—which will include the exact centre address, reporting time, and roll number—is expected to be released by February 4, 2026.
Critical Deadline for PwD Candidates
Today, February 1, 2026, marks the absolute final window for candidates in the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category to finalise their logistical requirements. Those opting to use their own scribe were required to register those details on the NTA portal by the end of the previous day, though limited technical support remains available for last-minute verification.
2026 Exam Format and Schedule
The NIFTEE 2026 will be conducted in a hybrid format, utilising both Computer-Based Testing (CBT) for the General Ability Test (GAT) and a Paper-Based Test (PBT) for the Creative Ability Test (CAT).
| Shift | Timing | Components |
| Shift 1 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | General Ability Test (GAT) |
| Shift 2 | 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM | Creative Ability Test (CAT) |
Note: Specific timings for B.Des and M.Des programs may vary by 30 minutes; candidates are advised to refer to their specific city slip for the tentative shift window.
The 2026 cycle has seen a notable increase in centres, with new locations added in Vapi and Daman to accommodate a growing number of applicants for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech) programs.
