Kozhikode: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut will offer a four-year integrated Bachelor of Science (BSc)-Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme from this year. The programme has been sanctioned under the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP).
The programme is being launched as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) educational reform programmes. Prof. Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT Calicut, said that the programme will be started in three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Admission to the programme will be open to students who have passed plus two (12) in science stream.
