Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India; Brig SK Mazumdar Marg, Timarpur, Delhi-110054; a specialized laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), dedicated to advancing the readiness, preparedness, and strategic resilience of the armed forces against radiological threats; has invited applications for paid Internship for a tenure of 06 months for the year 2026-2027.

Applications are invited from the meritorious eligible final year students pursuing Graduation in Engineering / Post-Graduation in Engineering or General Sciences in the prescribed format for the following disciplines:

Category (a): For Under-Graduate Internship (Final year students only): There are 3 positions. Applicants should be pursuing final year B.E. / B.Tech. in (07th / 08th Sem) in relevant Discipline / Branch as follows: (i) Computer Science / Computational Neuroscience / Machine Learning (1 slot) (ii) Biotechnology / Biomedical Engineering (1) (iii) Chemical Engineering / Material Science Engineering / Nanotechnology (1)

Category (b): For Post-Graduate Internship (Final year students only). There are 5 positions. Applicant should be pursuing final year of M.Sc / M.Tech. in (03rd / 04th Sem) in relevant Discipline/Branch as follows: (i) Computer Science / Computational Neuroscience / Machine Learning (1) (ii) Life Science / Biotechnology / Biomedical Sciences / Microbiology (2) (iii) Chemistry / Chemical Sciences / Chemical Engineering / Computational Chemistry / Material Science / Nanotechnology (1) (iv) Pharma Pharmaceutics / Pharmacology (1).

Only Indian Nationals can apply. The student should have a good academic track record with 75% & above marks or ≥ 7.5 CGPA on a scale of 10. Applicants should be below 28 years. The director of the institution should provide the permission letter to highly deserving meritorious students only.

For both, Internship Location is INMAS, Delhi-54. Stipend will be Rs. 5000 per month

Selection will be based on academic merit. If required, an interaction may be conducted either via video conferencing or telephonically, and the final selection will also take into account the candidate’s performance during the interaction. Shortlisted students will only be notified about the joining procedures through mail.

A Completion Certificate will be issued to the students upon successful completion of the six-month period from the date of joining the internship program.

Application format is attached to the Notification (enclosed as Annexure ‘A’). The students must email their application to the Research Academic Cell, INMAS at research-academic@gov.in by 30-04-2026. Candidates should clearly mention the subject line of the email as: 'Application for Paid Internship – Post Code: [XXX] - [Discipline Name]'. Referral / Permission letter from the college authorities (in original), issued on the college letterhead, clearly stating that the student is permitted to undergo internship training at INMAS has to be attached in the format attached (Annexure ‘B’) to the Notification.

Information to Selected Students will be given on 15-05-2026. Internship Training starts on 01-06-2026.
