Army Institute of Law (AIL) Sector 68, Mohali-160062, has invited applications for admission to BA.LLB.
Selection will be based on Computer based Law Entrance Test (LET) to be conducted from 9 am to 11 am on 25 June 2022 at 50 Centres all over India for 80 seats of which 75 are for wards of Army Personnel & 5, for All India General Category.
The Entrance Test of two hours’ duration will consist of a paper with 4 sections in a single sitting. It will have 50 objective type questions each carrying 1 mark, of a standard expected of 10+2 students from each of (i) Mental Ability (ii) General Knowledge & Current Affairs (iii) Law Aptitude (iv) General English. There shall be No Negative Marking. The medium of Entrance Test is English. List of Test Centres is given in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from https://ail.ac.in/
In addition, there are 20 Punjab Resident Civil Category seats to be filled based on 10+2 merit, drawn up by the Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar on the basis of centralised online counselling.
Applicant should have passed 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination recognized as such by the Punjabi University, Patiala, securing at least 45% marks. The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open university systems directly, without having any basic qualifications for pursuing such studies, are not eligible for admission in Law Courses. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in May/June 2022 are allowed to take the Entrance Test - 2022 provisionally.
Those passing the compartment papers of qualifying exam of 10 + 2 subsequently shall not be eligible for admission even if a seat is available.
