Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Homi Bhabha Road, Colaba, Mumbai 400 005, an Autonomous Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy of Government of India and a Deemed to be University, has invited applications for one position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in the Chemical Biology and Molecular Imaging group in the Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS), TIFR, Mumbai.

Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biology with minimum 60% marks or B.E./B.Tech. in Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks. GATE/NET/JEST/TIFR written entrance test qualification (anyone) is required at the time of joining. Those awaiting the results of these exams and results are expected within the next 2 months, can also apply.

Desirable: Research experience in the following will be required: synthesis and characterization of organic molecules, fluorescence spectroscopy, absorption spectroscopy, H PLC, LC-MS, and mammalian cell culture.

Age: Preferably below 30 years on 01.01.2025

Fellowship: JRF position will carry a fellowship of Rs. 37000/- + HRA as admissible.

The appointment as JRF is temporary and will be initially for a period of one year, but it will be extendable for a maximum period of another 3 years based on performance. Total duration is 4 years- 2 years as JRF and 2 years as SRF.
