Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Department of Space, Government of India; a Deemed to be University, Vallamala, Thiruvananthapuram-695547, has invited application for Junior Project Fellow and Project Assistant at the Institute.

There are 4 positions of Junior Project Fellow (JPF) and 1 position of Project Assistant (PA).

Applicants should be Indian Nationals. The name of position, number of positions, eligibility for each are as follows:  

JPF-01 (1 position): M. Tech /M. E /Master of Science in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation/ Biomedical Instrumentation/ Electronics and Communication/ Instrumentation and Control/ Instrumentation & Signal Processing/VLSI/Embedded Systems or related fields.

JPF-02 (1 position):  B Tech/BE in Mechanical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering

JPF-03 (2 positions): BE/B Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering/Avionics related areas.

PA -01 (1 position): Three-year Diploma in Electronics or equivalent.

All degrees mentioned above should be in first class. Desirable/preferable qualifications are given in the Notification.

Age limit as on 09.11.2023 for Junior Project Fellow, is 35 years and that for Project Assistant, 50 years.

Applicants should possess the required qualification as on 9.11.2023. Monthly Remuneration will be as follows: JPF-01-Rs.27800/-; JPF-02-Rs.25000/-; JPF-03- Rs.28000/- PA-01- Rs.20000/- + HRA

The tenure of the JPF-01 and PA-01 is for a period of 24 months or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier. The tenure of the JPF-02 and JPF-03 is for a period of 12 months or co-terminus with the project whichever is earlier. Extension for all positions will be based on performance and need basis subject to availability of funds. 

Only short listed candidates will be called for written test/interview as the case may be. Candidates shortlisted will be called for on-line interview.
